FOR
TOTAL AGGREGATE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $500,000
BETWEEN JULY 1, 2023 AND JUNE 30, 2026, WITH THE OPTION OF
TWO ONE-YEAR EXTENSIONS
SUMMARY
The City requires general architectural services for various projects. City staff advertised
to receive Statements of Qualifications (SOQs)forthe specialized services in January
2023. Engineering staff received and reviewed five SOQs from respondentfirms and
invited all the firms for interviews. Based on the firms' qualifications, interview
performances, and responses to inquiries of provided references, staff recommends the
City Council award professional services agreements to three firms: Interactive
Resources, Inc., LCA Architects, Inc., and AC Martin, Inc. The agreements cover
services between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2026, with the option of two additional one-
year extensions and are capped at a total aggregate not-to-exceed amount of$500,000.
Although the recommended amount covers three years of services, there is no
guaranteed amount of work for any of the three firms, and there is no guarantee that the
aggregate amount will be expended overthe agreement's period. Work will be assigned
based solely on recognized needs.
RECOMMENDATION
1. Approve design professional services agreements with Interactive Resources, Inc.,
LCA Architects, Inc., and AC Martin, Inc. to provide on-call general architectural
services in the total aggregate not-to-exceed amount of$500,000 between July 1,
2023, and June 30, 2026, with the option of two one-year extensions.
2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached design professional services
agreements.
3. Authorize the Director of Engineering or designee to approve individual task
authorizations up to $100,000 each, and if an individual task authorization is greater
than $100,000 that it will be presented to City Council for consideration.
