12 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> = CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON. <br /> February 21, 2023 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: RECEIVE UPDATE ON WATER SUPPLY ALTERNATIVES STUDY <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On September 6, 2022, the City Council authorized staff to evaluate water supply <br /> alternatives for the portion of water supply currently sourced via the City's groundwater <br /> pumping quota (3,500 acre-feet/year). Since October 2022 the Water Ad Hoc <br /> Subcommittee has been meeting monthly with the project team to provide feedback and <br /> direction. To date, Brown and Caldwell has collected and reviewed data and information <br /> from the City and Zone 7, developed a comprehensive list of water supply alternatives, <br /> and confirmed a set of evaluation criteria with the subcommittee. Next steps include an <br /> initial screening of the alternatives, development of cost estimates, and detailed <br /> evaluation of the shortlisted alternatives based on multiple evaluation criteria. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Receive an update on the Water Supply Alternatives Study and provide input to the <br /> Water Ad Hoc Subcommittee and staff. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no fiscal impact associated with this update. Funding for this project was <br /> previously approved by the City Council, and the project is on schedule. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
