CI <br />THE CITY OF <br />n"'-' <br />® -�� ,, -CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. <br />February 1, 2022 <br />Community Development <br />Traffic Engineering Division <br />TITLE: APPROVE THE FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION RELATED TO THE WEST <br />LAS POSITAS BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT, CIP NO. 17567 <br />SUMMARY <br />In July 2021, the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) <br />approved the 2022 Comprehensive Investment Plan (CIP). This document is a near- <br />term strategic programming document funded by sources such as: Measure B, Measure <br />BB, Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF), Transportation Fund for Clean Air (TFCA), and <br />One Bay Area Grant (OBAG). <br />Approximately $53.2 million in new funding was programmed. The City of Pleasanton <br />was allocated $717,000 in Measure B and $150,000 in TFCA funds for a total of <br />$867,000 for bikeway improvements on West Las Positas Boulevard. These funds will <br />contribute to the overall West Las Positas Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project <br />(CIP No. 17567). <br />The attached standard funding agreement outlines the responsibilities of the Alameda <br />CTC and the City of Pleasanton regarding grant requirements and reimbursements. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Authorize the City Manager to execute the funding agreement related to grant <br />requirements and reimbursement. <br />2. Allocate $717,000 in Measure B and $150,000 in TFCA funds for a total of <br />$867,000 towards CIP No. 17567. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The West Las Positas Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements Project (CIP No. 17567) <br />includes funding of $2,200,000 through fiscal year 2022/23. The new allocation of <br />Alameda CTC -approved funds of $717,000 from Measure B and $150,000 from TFCA <br />for fiscal year 2022/23 brings the total project funding to $3,067,000. <br />
