CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 404 AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO. 309 (Zoning Ordinance) CONCERNING INDUSTRIAL PARK DISTRICT The City Council of the City of Pleasanton does hereby ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 14.100 is hereby amended to read as follows: "14.100 The I-P District shall encourage development so that the lands, arrangement of buildings, architec- ture, structures, landscaping and activities are, to the extent reasonably possible without interfering with the primary purpose of any permitted use, compatible with surrounding districts. Uses shall be limited to a low concentration, with suitable open space. The external effects of the land use shall be carried on in an unobtrusive manner without undue detriment to any nearby uses." SECTION 2. Paragragh 14.200 is hereby amended to read as follows: "14. 200 Permitted Uses. a. 'Li'ght manufacturing, processing, packaging, treatment or fabrication of goods and merchandise. b. Offices, professional, business or administrative. c. Laboratories, commercial, testing, research, experimental or other, including pilot plants. d. Storage and warehousing. e. Sales at whole sale of products manufactured, stored, displayed or otherwise available for distribu- tion." SECTION 3. Section 14.300 is hereby amended to read as follows: "14. 300 Accessory Uses. a o Inc'idental services for employees when conducted entirely within the building of a permitted use, if entirely enclosed. b. Railroad sidetracks, together with ancillary storage areas and required loading and discharging equipment and structures, and trucking and motor freight loading and discharging facilities, as necessary to serve a permitted use. c. Public utility structures and uses necessary to serve a permitted use. d. Other accessary uses and buildings customary to a permitted use." - 1 -
