15 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> July 20, 2021 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH ACCO <br /> ENGINEERED SYSTEMS FOR HVAC MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS <br /> IN THE AMOUNT OF $800,000 AND EXTEND TERM TO JUNE 30, 2023 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> To effectively maintain City owned facility equipment systems, the Operations Services <br /> Department uses a contractor to perform equipment maintenance. ACCO Engineered <br /> Systems (ACCO) is the City's current contractor for the maintenance and emergency <br /> repairs for City facilities heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This <br /> past year, the HVAC systems required extensive repairs and replacements. In addition, <br /> system filters were upgraded during the pandemic as recommended by the County <br /> Health Department and Center for Disease Control (CDC). Staff is seeking to amend <br /> the agreement with ACCO Engineering Systems to increase the total compensation <br /> amount to a not-to-exceed amount of$800,000 and extend the current maintenance <br /> agreement through FY 2022/23. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute amendment with ACCO <br /> Engineered Systems in the amount of$800,000 and extend the agreement to June 30, <br /> 2023. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The maintenance agreement with ACCO Engineered Systems is funded by the <br /> Facilities Operating Budget (40301) and Facilities Repair and Renovation (Internal <br /> Service Fund 515). <br />
