3 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> rl 1111 "" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> February 16, 2021 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO MAKE THE COMMITTEE ON ENERGY AND <br /> THE ENVIRONMENT A PERMANENT COMMITTEE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In July 2008, the City Council established the Committee on Energy and the <br /> Environment for an initial term of two years to advise on energy and environmental <br /> issues, strategies, planning and protections, and opportunities for conservation. The <br /> Committee has demonstrated its value as a resource to the Council and City staff on <br /> these issues and it is recommended that the Committee become permanent to continue <br /> its work on the Climate Action Plan 2.0 and its implementation and City Council's <br /> priorities as assigned. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt attached resolution to make the Committee on Energy and the Environment a <br /> permanent committee. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The financial impact is indirect relating to staff time required to staff and support the <br /> Committee. <br />
