REDISCLOSURE AGREEMENT THIS AGRE~.MENT is made and entered into this 22 day of g_uoust , 1995 by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation, and THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA. WITNESSETH: I. The California Employment Department (EDD) haz recognized that Alameda County and its cities need employer data to stabilize and stimulate employment and therefore promote the purposes of EDD's job service program. II. The County of Alameda has signed an agreement with the EDD to ree.~ive confidential employer data for the expressed purpose of identifying businesses to contact in a business retention program and to identify growth industries in which to concentrate business development efforts. 11I. The cities in Alameda County need this information as well to perform their integral role in the development and retention of businesses and the County has indicated its willingness to provide this information to the City of Pleasanton if the City provides certain assurancea to protect the security of the data. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows: A. The County of Alameda shall provide to the City of Plea~anton the confidential employer data provided to it by EDD as set fo.'th in xecital B. B. The City of Pleasanton shall abide by the following constraints as to this information. i. The information shall be used only for the purposes specified in this request. Any other use is prohibited. 2. The information shall not be disclosed to any other person or entity without prior written approval from EDD. 3. Only authorized employees shall be allowed access to the data furnished by EDD. These employees shall be instructed regarding the constraints for handling confidential data. 4. The person listed below has been designated to be responsible for security and confidentiality of the data. The Labor Market Information Division, ARm ConfidentialData Coordinator. shall be immediately notified, in writing, if the designee changes.
