THE CITY OF I 0 <br /> —•• • ' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> January 21, 2020 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY WORKDAY FOR A <br /> SIX-STORY OFFICE BUILDING LOCATED AT 6110 STONERIDGE MALL <br /> ROAD <br /> SUMMARY <br /> PUD-104 and PUD-81-22-14M approved the rezoning, development plan and related <br /> site improvements at 6002 and 6110 Stoneridge Mall Road. The project was <br /> constructed in three stages. Stage 1 relocated public and private utilities within 6110 <br /> Stoneridge Mall Road and public utilities within the public street of Stoneridge Mall <br /> Road. Stage 2 constructed improvements within Stoneridge Mall Road, including two <br /> traffic signals. Stage 3 constructed improvements within the public right-of-way and <br /> public service easement, improvements on the private property of Nordstorm, Inc. at <br /> 1600 and 1690 Stoneridge Mall Road; and Stoneridge Properties located at 1008 <br /> Stoneridge Mall Road. These public improvements have been constructed and are <br /> ready for acceptance. <br /> There are other offsite public improvements required of Workday as outlined in the <br /> PUD. Those improvements are currently under construction and a recommendation to <br /> accept them as complete will be presented to City Council at a future date. Those <br /> improvements include, widening of Canyon Way from two east-bound travel lanes to <br /> three east-bound travel lanes, widening Foothill Road and addition of a left-turn pocket <br /> from Foothill Road to Canyon Way, and widening of Stoneridge Mall Road creating a <br /> dedicate right turn lane onto westbound Stoneridge Drive. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the public improvements constructed for Workday. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to release the following bonds: <br /> • Public Improvement Agreement, Bond No. 018037146 in the amount of$410,000 <br /> by DPR Construction; <br /> • First Amendment to Public Improvement Agreement, Bond No. 018220431 in the <br /> amount of$1,369,000 by DPR Construction; <br /> • Second Amendment to Public Improvement Agreement, Bond No. 018220432 in <br /> the amount of$186,300 by DPR Construction. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There will be a minimal increase to the budget for the maintenance of public <br /> improvements. Tax revenue generally covers the increased cost to provide services and <br /> maintain infrastructure. <br />
