THE CITY OF 8 <br /> —• # "" CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLE ASANTON,, <br /> January 21, 2020 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: APPROVE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> AGREEMENT WITH JEFF KATZ ARCHITECTURE FOR THE FIRE <br /> STATION NO. 3 REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CIP NO. 17423 IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $33,500 TO PREPARE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS FOR <br /> A TEMPORARY FIRE STATION TO BE LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST <br /> CORNER OF STONERIDGE DRIVE AND RHEEM DRIVE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On July 18, 2017, City Council approved a professional services agreement with Jeff <br /> Katz Architecture (JKA) in the amount of $468,000 to design and provide construction <br /> support services for the Fire Station No. 3 Replacement Project, CIP No. 17423. There <br /> has been one amendment to date, which increased the agreement by $3,500 and <br /> extended the agreement term to December 31, 2020. The second amendment adds <br /> $33,500 in order to complete a topographic survey of the vacant Catholic Community of <br /> Pleasanton-owned property at the southeast corner of Stoneridge Drive and Rheem <br /> Drive, and to prepare biddable documents to grade and install the necessary <br /> improvements and utility connections for a temporary fire station. This temporary station <br /> would serve the area for approximately one year beginning in summer 2020, while Fire <br /> Station No. 3 is under construction. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the second amendment to the professional services agreement with Jeff Katz <br /> Architecture for the Fire Station No. 3 Replacement Project, CIP No. 17423 in the <br /> amount of $33,500. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this amendment is available in the Fire Station No. 3 Replacement Project, <br /> CIP No. 17423. This $33,500 will increase the total agreement amount from the current <br /> $471 ,500 to $505,000. <br />
