AGENDA REPORT <br />December 4, 2019 <br />Item 5 <br />TITLE: REVIEW AND APPROVE THE DRAFT REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS <br />FOR HEALTH CARE AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH IN PLEASANTON <br />SUMMARY <br />In the Human Services Commission Strategic Plan, the commission recommended the <br />strategic action to Revise Human Services Commission Grant -making Protocols/RFPs <br />including exploration of multi-year contracts with core safety -net service providers. <br />During the 2018 Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) agenda item, the City <br />Council authorized the staff and Human Services Commission to explore a multi-year <br />service agreement concept to help address some of the most critical human service <br />needs in the Tri -Valley. <br />At the August 7, 2019 meeting the Human Services Commission identified health care <br />and behavioral health as the most critical human service need to address through a <br />multi-year contract and a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process. The commission <br />also recommended that $35,000 be set aside annually from the HHSG process to fund <br />a multi-year service contract. <br />This agenda item provides a draft multi-year RFQ for commission review and approval. <br />The RFQ is targeted to Tri -Valley service providers and is specific to health care and <br />behavior health. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Review and approve the draft request for qualifications for health care and behavioral <br />health in Pleasanton. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The annual $35,000 allocation would come from the existing annual HHSG Program <br />fund balance. <br />
