THE CITY OF <br />hi <br />PLEASANTON,.-,' <br />Economic Vitality <br />Committee <br />July 18, 2019 <br />7:30 a.m. <br />Remillard Conference Room <br />3333 Busch Road, Pleasanton <br />Minutes <br />CALL TO ORDER/INTRODUCTIONS <br />Meeting called to order at 7:31 a.m. by EVC Chair Christina Nystrom Mantha. Committee <br />members present were Christina Nystrom Mantha, Councilmember Julie Testa, Ellen Pensky <br />McGraw, Steve Van Dorn, Harsh Gohil, Shareef Mandavi, Esther Yu, Barbara Steinfeld, Will <br />Doerlich, Judy Wheeler, Steve Baker, Sylvia Tian, Kristen Hayes Kuse, Jeffrey Chen, Kristin <br />LaPorte (Alameda County Fairground), and PUSD Trustee Jamie Yee along with Beth Cutter. <br />Committee members not in attendance were Chiman Lee and Olivia Sanwong. City staff <br />present were Economic Development Office Assistant Nicole Rodriguez, Economic <br />Development Specialist Lisa Adamos and Director of Economic Development Pamela Ott. <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />No agenda amendments were made. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />There was no public comment. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The May 16, 2019, meeting minutes were amended to reflect: <br />1. Page 2, second to last paragraph, change "to" to "on". "...the City Council felt it <br />necessary to on certain issues to provide direction to the task force." <br />2. Page 3, fifth paragraph down, the order for the motion should be for, against, abstain; 9- <br />3-1 with Olivia Sanwong, Julie Testa, and Judy Wheeler opposing and Barbara <br />Steinfeld abstaining. <br />The May 16, 2019, meeting minutes were approved as amended on motion by Will Doerlich <br />and second by Steve Baker by a vote of 15-0-1 with Kristen Hayes Kuse abstaining. <br />INFORMATION UPDATES <br />Christina Nystrom Mantha shared the Museum on Main would be reopening on 8/2/19 after <br />renovations are completed, in connection with the City's 125th Anniversary Celebration. <br />Pamela Ott reviewed the Upcoming Meetings and Events listing. She also noted the Johnson <br />Drive Economic Development Zone additional environmental review was available for public <br />comment through 5:00 pm on 8/23/19. <br />
