THE CITY OF <br />r»wl— <br />PLEASANTON., <br />Economic Vitality <br />Committee <br />May 16, 2019 <br />7:30 a.m. <br />Remillard Conference Room <br />3333 Busch Road, Pleasanton <br />CALL TO ORDER/INTRODUCTIONS <br />Minutes <br />Meeting called to order at 7:33 a.m. by EVC Chair Christina Nystrom Mantha. Committee <br />members present were Christina Nystrom Mantha, Councilmember Julie Testa, Ellen Pensky <br />McGraw, Steve Van Dorn, Harsh Gohil, Shareef Mandavi, Olivia Sanwong, Chiman Lee, <br />Esther Yu, Barbara Steinfeld, Judy Wheeler, Steve Baker, and Beth Cutter as the PUSD <br />representative. Committee members not in attendance were Will Doerlich, Angel Moore, Sylvia <br />Tian, Kristen Hayes Kuse and Jeffrey Chen. City staff present were Director of Finance Tina <br />Olson, Economic Development Office Assistant Nicole Rodriguez and Director of Economic <br />Development Pamela Ott. <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />No agenda amendments were made. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />There was no public comment. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The April 18, 2019, meeting minutes were amended to reflect: <br />1. Under "Downtown Specific Plan Update Task Force Report", change "Support" to "City <br />Council support" <br />2. Under "Property -owner initiated zoning changes" replace "believed" with "was told by <br />staff' <br />3. Under "Discussion Regarding Development of a Coordinated Business Support <br />Program" add Johnson preceding Drive Economic Development Zone. <br />The April 18, 2019, meeting minutes were approved as amended on motion by Steve Van <br />Dorn and second by Steve Baker by a vote of 12-0-1 with Beth Cutter abstaining. <br />INFORMATION UPDATES <br />Pamela Ott reviewed the Upcoming Meetings and Events listing. <br />Pamela Ott shared the groundbreaking of Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch would be taking place <br />later that afternoon. <br />Steve Van Dorn shared that Barbara Steinfeld would be speaking at the upcoming Pleasanton <br />2020 Forum on June 12. 2019. <br />
