THE CITY OF <br /> �, <br /> 9 <br /> 111 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON <br /> May 7, 2019 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF A NEW CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION <br /> (CCTV) TRUCK FROM JACK DOHENY COMPANIES FOR $424,613.79 <br /> FOR USE IN VIDEO INSPECTION OF SEWAGE AND STORM DRAIN <br /> PIPES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Operations Services Department is requesting to replace the Closed Circuit <br /> Television (CCTV) truck that is used for videoing and recording the City's sewage and <br /> storm drain pipes as part of the preventative maintenance practice. Other functions of <br /> the truck include assessing sewer overflows and "bad spots" in the lines, locating <br /> system pipe defects to identify replacement, performing preseason inspection of storm <br /> drain lines, and determining if flushing is required for a specific pipe line. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the purchase of a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) truck through the <br /> Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) cooperative purchasing contract 122017-RVL for <br /> $424,613.79. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The City Council approved a mid-year adjustment to the FY 2018/19 Vehicle <br /> Replacement Fund to purchase this truck. <br />
