BACKGROUND
The CCTV truck is used for videoing and recording the City's sewage and storm drain
conveyance systems as part of the preventative maintenance practice. The current
truck is a 2005 Ford E-450 equipped with a closed circuit television system.
The proposed CCTV truck is a 2020 Ford E-450 chassis with an updated closed circuit
television and pulley system. The on-board equipment provides maintenance crews
"closed captioning" during sewer cleaning and flushing operations. This provides
historical documentation and written commentary to on-screen TV footage. The
recorded video allow staff to make sound decisions for the utility infrastructure.
The purchase would be made through the Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) cooperative
purchasing contract. The cooperative purchasing contract is a program that allows state
and local governments to purchase goods and services from approved industry
vendors. Agencies that use these contracts are bound by the terms, conditions and
pricing provided by the agreements.
.311 4
w'A
`---
, '4,1t'a ate,; i` ', 4
Submitted by: Fisca Review: Approved .y:
•
Kathleen Yurchak Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Director of Operations Director of Finance City Manager
and Water Utilities
Attachments:
1.
