IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $318,612.95 FOR USE DURING EMERGENCY WATER SERVICE AND <br /> WATER MAIN BREAKS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff is requesting to replace the Leak Response Vehicle (unit 314). This vehicle is used <br /> by the Utilities Division of the Operations Services Department to assist in emergency <br /> response activities and is critical to their operation. For 2018, this vehicle responded to <br /> approximately 60 emergency water service breaks and 30 emergency water main <br /> breaks. This vehicle is also used for scheduled water repairs and other utility related <br /> issues. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the purchase of a Leak Response Vehicle (2020 Peterbilt 337 Chassis with a <br /> Dakota Crane Body) through Sourcewell (formerly known as NJPA) cooperative <br /> purchase contract 081716-NAF in the amount of $318,612.95. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The City Council approved a mid-year adjustment to the FY 2018/2019 Vehicle <br /> Replacement Fund to purchase the Leak Response Vehicle. <br />
