The Foothill
Road Bicycle Corridor Plan (BCP) focuses on improvements to the bicycle infrastructure
along Foothill Road. The Foothill Road BCP addresses both safety and usability of
Foothill Road for bicyclists in both the near and far term. The Bicycle, Pedestrian and
Trails Committee (BPTC) served as the steering committee for development of the plan.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the Foothill Road Bicycle Corridor Plan.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
Funding for the Foothill Road BCP is provided through Bicycle and Pedestrian Related
Improvements Capital Improvement Program, CIP No. 18543, which uses both Measure
B and BB Bicycle and Pedestrian funds.
The improvements identified through the Foothill Road BCP will be incorporated into
future capital projects and private developments to ensure appropriate build-out of the
City's bicycle infrastructure.
