THE CITY OF 9 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> LAT6i .� <br /> November 6, 2018 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THIRD AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH TERRA <br /> LANDSCAPE IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $99,000 FOR WEED <br /> ABATEMENT LANDSCAPE SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE CITY <br /> SUMMARY <br /> To effectively continue managing weed growth and fire vegetation management <br /> throughout the city, Parks staff uses a landscaping contractor to perform weed <br /> abatement landscape services at various roadside right-of-ways, City owned lots, open <br /> space locations, utilities locations and City parks. Weed abatement methods include <br /> herbicide application of both post and pre-emergent herbicides, line trimming, and <br /> mowing of native grasses in drainage swales within the City limits. Project <br /> administration is under the direction of the Parks Maintenance Division of the <br /> Operations Services Department. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute third amendment to the agreement <br /> with Tree Sculpture Corporation (dba Terra Landscape) for an eight (8) month period <br /> beginning November 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019 not-to-exceed $99,000. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Contracted services are funded in the Operating budget for the Park Maintenance <br /> Division that oversees this work. A total of $99,000 has been allocated in the Parks <br /> Maintenance Division FY 2018/19 budget to fund weed abatement services. <br />
