THE CITY OF 1 0
CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pLE ASANTON,
August 21, 2018
Engineering
TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR PACIFIC PEARL LOCATED
AT 2693 TO 2733 STONERIDGE DRIVE (STAPLES RANCH) AND
ADOPT A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF
PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENTS ON STONERIDGE DRIVE AND EL
CHARRO ROAD
SUMMARY
PUD-108 (Pacific Pearl) created an approximately 112,000-square-foot shopping center
and related off-site and on-site improvements on an approximately 11.5-acre site at
2693 to 2733 Stoneridge Drive (Staples Ranch). The approved PUD plan provided for
the encroachment of the proposed buildings onto minor portions of the existing public
service easement (PSE) along the Stoneridge Drive and El Charro Road frontages.
Accordingly, certain portions of the PSE are no longer necessary and may be vacated.
The property is located as shown on Attachment 1. All public improvements have been
constructed and are ready for acceptance.
RECOMMENDATION
1 . Accept the public improvements constructed with Pacific Pearl for normal
maintenance.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion.
3. Adopt a resolution ordering the summary vacation of public service easements
located on Stoneridge Drive and El Charro Road.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
There will be a minimal increase to the budget for the maintenance of public
improvements. Tax revenue generally covers the increased cost to provide services and
maintain infrastructure.
