THE CITY OF 1 0 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLE ASANTON, <br /> August 21, 2018 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS FOR PACIFIC PEARL LOCATED <br /> AT 2693 TO 2733 STONERIDGE DRIVE (STAPLES RANCH) AND <br /> ADOPT A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF <br /> PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENTS ON STONERIDGE DRIVE AND EL <br /> CHARRO ROAD <br /> SUMMARY <br /> PUD-108 (Pacific Pearl) created an approximately 112,000-square-foot shopping center <br /> and related off-site and on-site improvements on an approximately 11.5-acre site at <br /> 2693 to 2733 Stoneridge Drive (Staples Ranch). The approved PUD plan provided for <br /> the encroachment of the proposed buildings onto minor portions of the existing public <br /> service easement (PSE) along the Stoneridge Drive and El Charro Road frontages. <br /> Accordingly, certain portions of the PSE are no longer necessary and may be vacated. <br /> The property is located as shown on Attachment 1. All public improvements have been <br /> constructed and are ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 . Accept the public improvements constructed with Pacific Pearl for normal <br /> maintenance. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Adopt a resolution ordering the summary vacation of public service easements <br /> located on Stoneridge Drive and El Charro Road. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There will be a minimal increase to the budget for the maintenance of public <br /> improvements. Tax revenue generally covers the increased cost to provide services and <br /> maintain infrastructure. <br />
