THE CITY OF 12 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> August 21, 2018 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY GUERRA <br /> CONSTRUCTION GROUP FOR THE PIONEER CEMETERY STORAGE <br /> AREA IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, CIP NO. 16446 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Pioneer Cemetery Storage Area Improvements project consisted of constructing a <br /> storage area for cemetery equipment, materials, and soil; a four-car asphalt parking lot; <br /> and providing associated demolition, earthwork, grading, fencing, irrigation, planting, <br /> and other site improvements. Construction is complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $15,898.50 to Guerra <br /> Construction Group 30 days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Transfer the project balance of $36,744 to the Pioneer Cemetery Entry and <br /> Wayfinding Improvements, CIP No. 18750. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Total funding for this project was $500,000. Project expenditures totaled $463,256, <br /> leaving a project surplus of $36,744 as outlined in Attachment 1. Staff recommends the <br /> transfer of the project balance to the Pioneer Cemetery Entry and Wayfinding <br /> Improvements project, CIP No. 18750. <br />
