THE CITY OF <br /> 1 <br /> 0 <br /> L£�116; ne.itC11.14'' <br /> S�NTOI�4 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> June 19, 2018 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT THE OFF-SITE PUBLIC SANITARY SEWER AND WATER <br /> MAIN IMPROVEMENTS FOR TRACT 8317 (ROSE AVENUE ESTATES) <br /> LOCATED AT 1851 ROSE AVENUE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> PUD-99 creates 16 single-family lots with Phase I, and three single-family lots with <br /> future Phase II, on an approximately 9-acre site located at the west end of Rose Avenue <br /> as shown on Attachment 1 . The developer, Ponderosa Homes II, Inc. has completed <br /> the construction of the off-site public sanitary sewer and water main improvements and <br /> has requested reimbursement pursuant to the reimbursement agreement. Staff has <br /> inspected the work and determined that the improvements are complete and ready for <br /> acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the off-site public sanitary sewer and water main improvements constructed <br /> with Tract 8317 for normal maintenance. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize the Director of Finance to release reimbursement in the amount of <br /> $242,851 to Ponderosa Homes II, Inc. <br /> 4. Authorize the transfer of $12,781 from Developer Fees to the General Fund for <br /> reimbursement of administrative costs associated with the Reimbursement <br /> Agreement. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The developer, Ponderosa Homes II, Inc. (Ponderosa) is eligible to be partially <br /> reimbursed by an amount of $55,830 in Water Expansion Funds and $242,851 in <br /> Developer Funds for the construction of the off-site public sanitary sewer main, water <br /> main and laterals, and six fire hydrants (off-site improvements) on Alameda County <br /> Fairgrounds' property associated with Tract 8317. There will be a minimal increase to <br /> the budget for the maintenance of these public improvements on Alameda County <br /> Fairgrounds' property. Tax and water/sewer rate revenues generally cover the <br /> increased cost to provide services and maintain infrastructure. <br />
