THE CITY OF 2 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLE ASANTO\ <br /> June 19, 2018 <br /> City Manager <br /> City Clerk <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION CALLING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION <br /> TO BE HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2018; A RESOLUTION <br /> REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION WITH THE STATEWIDE GENERAL <br /> ELECTION; AND A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO THE SUBMISSION OF <br /> CANDIDATES STATEMENTS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The purpose of November 2018 election is to elect a Mayor for a two-year term and two <br /> Members of the City Council, each for a four-year term. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt a resolution calling for the holding of a General Municipal Election to be held <br /> Tuesday, November 6, 2018 for the purpose of electing a Mayor for a two-year term and <br /> two Members of the City Council, each for a four-year term; a resolution requesting that <br /> the County of Alameda Board of Supervisors consent to consolidation of the General <br /> Municipal Election with the Statewide General Election; and a resolution adopting <br /> regulations, for candidates for elective office pertaining to candidates statements. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding is allocated in the approved Fiscal Year 2018/19 Operating Budget. <br />
