CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> February 6, 2018 <br /> Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Olson led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided opening remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: Councilmember Brown <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS —City Manager Fialho noted Item No. 7 is being pulled from the agenda. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mayor Thorne reported meeting with the City Manager and announced the Aquatic Center will not be <br /> shut down during construction of the locker room. <br /> City Manager Fialho addressed Item No. 5 and reported state law requires operable showers be <br /> available during the time the facility is open to the public. Therefore, staff will bring in portable showers <br /> for use during the pool operation. He added the Seahawks have offered to offset some of the costs. <br /> City Manager <br /> 1. Adopted and waived full reading of Resolution No. 18-996 approving the Amended and Restated <br /> Agreement between the City of Livermore and the City of Pleasanton for the Livermore- <br /> Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority <br /> 2. Adopted and waived full reading of Resolution No. 18-997 approving the Memorandum of <br /> Understanding between the City of Livermore and the City of Pleasanton related to Pension <br /> Obligations and Employment Retirement Benefits for Personnel assigned to the Livermore- <br /> Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority <br /> Community Development <br /> 3. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> Engineering <br /> 4. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a professional services agreement with <br /> HMH in the amount of $197,000 for the design of the Downtown Transportation Corridor Parking <br /> Lot Improvements project, CIP No. 17448 <br /> 5. Rejected bids received for the construction of the Softball Fieldhouse and Scorekeeper's Booth <br /> Renovation project, CIP No. 17746, and the Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center Locker Rooms <br /> Renovation project, CIP No. 17706 <br /> Operations Services <br /> 6. Approved and authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement with DERWA, DSRSD and <br /> EBMUD to share in the allocation of future funding opportunities as well as application and <br /> processing costs <br />
