THE CITY OF 1 5 <br /> -" #"' "' "'� ""' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTOK <br /> January 16, 2018 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: REVIEW OF OWENS DRIVE TRAFFIC CIRCULATION <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In the early part of 2017 the City Council requested a review of the operation of Owens <br /> Drive near the Bart Station. This report is in response to Council's request. Based on <br /> analysis by the City's transportation consultant and additional review by City staff, staff <br /> is not recommending any physical changes to the Owens Drive traffic circulation <br /> network, including the pedestrian and bicycle crossings. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff does not recommend any additional changes to Owens Drive. Staff will pursue <br /> grant funding for an adaptive traffic timing software that can address the short spikes in <br /> vehicle traffic without increasing the pedestrian and bicycle delay. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> No financial changes result from this report. <br />
