The budget was for a total of$275,000 which included a
contingency of$36,000. Use of the contingency is limited to items not included in the
original scope and requires prior written approval of the City. With oversight by the
Downtown Specific Plan Update Task Force that has been meeting since January 2017,
work on the plan has progressed over the last 12-months. Technical analysis includes: traffic impact analysis, civil engineering analysis,
noise analysis, and environmental analysis consistent with the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA).
Staff is requesting approval of an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement
in the amount of$258,266 for these additional services.
RECOMMENDATION
Authorize the City Manager to execute the first amendment to the Professional Services
Agreement with Dyett and Bhatia to add $258,266 to the original amount of$275,000
(for a total of$533,366) for services related to the preparation of the Downtown Specific
Plan Update. The additional amount includes a contingency of$27,671, or 12 percent
of the additional contract amount.
