THE CITY OF 1 5
- . CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pLEASANTONo
October 4, 2016
Fire
TITLE: APPROVAL OF UPDATE OF MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR FIRE
PREVENTION FEES
SUMMARY
The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) conducts annual fire inspections
and has established fees for businesses receiving a routine inspection every year. The
goal of the program is to inspect businesses on a regular basis to maintain a safe public
environment. LPFD has identified three categories of facilities for which a triennial
inspection frequency is adequate to meet the objectives of the fire department's routine
inspection program as well as the minimum legal requirements. Staff recommends that
we modify the current fee schedule to reduce select fees to reflect accurately the
triennial inspections on specific businesses.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the attached resolution modifying the existing Master Fee Schedule for Fire
Prevention services to be effective thirty days after adoption (11/3/2016).
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
This proposal will result in an annual reduction of anticipated fee revenue in the amount
of $16,040. The attached Exhibit A shows applicable permits and total anticipated
reduction.
