BACKGROUND
On June 16, 2015, the City Council adopted an updated Master Fee Schedule that took
effect on August 17, 2015 by Resolution 15-767. This fee schedule is based upon
facilities receiving an inspection each year. LPFD staff has identified certain facilities for
which a triennial inspection frequency is adequate to meet the objectives of the fire
department's routine inspection program as well as the minimum legal requirements.
These facilities all possess the following conditions:
1. Present low and well understood hazards.
2. Change their operations infrequently so permits do not fluctuate.
3. Maintain a high level of compliance.
The following specific facilities' meet one or more of these established criteria:
1. Dry cleaning facilities with 300 gallons or less of dry cleaning liquids.
2. Unstaffed utility stations:
a. with no underground storage tanks, and
b. not subject to the Aboveground Petroleum Storage Tank Program, and
c. with no more than 200 gallons of battery electrolyte, and
d. with no more than 1,000 gallons of water treatment chemicals (liquid at
NTP), and
e. with no other hazardous materials
3. Facilities whose only activity that is subject to annual fees is within
Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG) level hazardous waste
generation.
ubmitt-• by: Fisca eview: Approve by:
Ruben Torres Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Fire Chief Director of Finance City Manager
Attachments:
1.
