IN THE AMOUNT OF $494,353; AND APPROVE <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> WITH CALLANDER ASSOCIATES LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, INC. IN <br /> THE AMOUNT OF $16,172 FOR CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES <br /> FOR THE TWO NEW LIGHTED TENNIS COURTS AT THE TENNIS AND <br /> COMMUNITY PARK PROJECT, CIP NO. 147031 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The 2014 Parks and Recreation Master Plan identified the need for two additional lighted <br /> tennis courts at the Pleasanton Tennis and Community Park, which were subsequently <br /> identified as a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project, CIP No. 147034. On March <br /> 4, 2016, City Council approved an agreement with Callander Associates Landscape <br /> Architecture to design the project. Design was completed in May 2016 and bids were <br /> opened on June 13, 2016. Bids have been received and staff is recommending award of <br /> the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Goodland Landscape <br /> Construction, Inc. in the amount of$494,353.00 for the Two New Lighted Tennis Courts <br /> at the Tennis and Community Park project, CIP No. 147034. Staff is also recommending <br /> an amendment to the Callander Associates contract to provide construction support <br /> services in the not-to-exceed amount of$16,172. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve plans and specifications for this project. <br /> 2. Review the bids received and award the construction contract for the project to <br /> Goodland Landscape Construction, Inc. in the amount of$494,353.00. <br /> 3. Authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Goodland Landscape <br /> Construction, Inc. <br /> 4. Approve Amendment 1 to the professional services agreement with Callander <br /> Associates Landscape Architecture, Inc. in the amount of $16,172 to provide <br /> construction support services for the project. <br /> 5. Authorize the Director of Engineering to approve and execute any required contract <br /> change order(s) for a not-to-exceed amount of $50,000 (approximately 10% of the <br /> construction contract) for unforeseen yet necessary related work. <br />
