THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTONC <br /> October 20, 2015 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT WITH FIELD PAOLI ARCHITECTS FOR <br /> TECHINICAL ASSISTANCE IN SUPPORT OF THE PREPARATION OF THE <br /> CIVIC CENTER/LIBRARY MASTER PLAN <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On February 17, 2015, the City Council approved the formation of a Task Force for the <br /> preparation of a Civic Center/Library Master plan. The Task Force has reviewed a work <br /> plan prepared by staff that would require technical assistance relating to space <br /> planning, site planning, cost estimating, and market and fiscal impact analysis. Staff has <br /> selected the firm of Field Paoli Architects as they were the consultants that performed <br /> similar work for the City in preparation of the Civic Center Master Plan Study in 2010. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the proposed contract with Field Paoli Architects to provide technical services <br /> in support of the preparation of the Civic Center/Library Master Plan. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The total cost of the proposed contract is $180,000 for services, and expenses and a <br /> contingency. The contract calls for charges on hourly basis not to exceed the amounts <br /> above. The project would be funded from the City Hall Office Building & Civic Center <br /> Site Improvement Reserve (CIP #988029). <br />
