THE CITY Of <br /> --' "' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 16 <br /> pL£ASANTON, <br /> June 2, 2015 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF TRASH AND RECYCLABLE COLLECTION SERVICES <br /> CONTRACT WITH RUBICON LANDSCAPE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City has a total of 442 exterior trash receptacles throughout City parks, trails, and <br /> facility landscapes. These receptacles are emptied once to twice per week depending <br /> on location by a contractor. The current contract is set to expire on June 30, 2015. <br /> Therefore, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was formally advertised in April 2015. A total <br /> of two (2) proposals were received for this project on May 1, 2015. Rubicon Landscape <br /> was selected as the lowest qualified bidder. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute the <br /> contract for these services with Rubicon Landscape for a not to exceed amount of <br /> $85,000. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The Operations Services Department administers this contract and funding is allocated <br /> in the FY2015/16 Parks Maintenance Division Operating Budget. The proposed contract <br /> with Rubicon Landscape is for a not to exceed amount of $85,000 effective, July 1, 2015, <br /> with a condition that allows for extensions of the contract for up to four (4) additional one <br /> (1) year extensions upon written agreement of both parties <br />
