�F <br /> THE 6 <br /> =� CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL E ASANTONe <br /> March 17, 2015 <br /> Operation Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF STREET SWEEPING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH <br /> CLEANSTREET CLEANING OF CITY STREETS AND PARKING LOTS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City currently has an interim contract with CleanStreet that is set to expire on March <br /> 27, 2015. Therefore, a Request for Proposal (RFP) was formally advertised in January <br /> of 2015 and a mandatory bidder's workshop was held on January 28, 2015. A total of <br /> two (2) companies responded to the Request for Proposals by the due date of February <br /> 13th. CleanStreet was selected as the lowest qualified bidder. A scope of work to be <br /> provided by CleanStreet is detailed in (Attachment 1) of the Maintenance and Trade <br /> Services Agreement. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Street Sweeping <br /> Maintenance Agreement (Attachment 1) in the amount of not to exceed $213,714 per <br /> contract year. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The Operations Services Department administers this contract and funding is allocated <br /> the FY2014/15 and Miscellaneous Contracted Services identified in the Street <br /> Cleaning/Traffic Maintenance Program Code 335409. Subsequent contract year <br /> funding will be requested as part of the City's annual budget process. The proposed <br /> contract with Contract Sweeping Services is for a period of two (2) years, effective <br /> March 30, 2015 with a condition that allows for extensions of the contract for up to three <br /> (3) additional one (1) year extensions upon written agreement of both parties. <br />
