MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> October 1, 2013 <br /> Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Narum led <br /> the Pledge of Allegiance and provided introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers, Cook-Kallio, Narum, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: Councilmembers Brown, Pentin <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Fialho stated that Item 3 was continued to the October 15, 2013 meeting. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mayor Thorne noted two speakers for the Consent Calendar and opened the public hearing. <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular meeting minutes of September 3, 2013 <br /> Community Development <br /> 2. Actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 3. Continued to October 15, 2013 - Public Hearing: Introduction of an Ordinance to amending <br /> Title 20 and relevant sections of the Pleasanton Municipal Code concerning the adoption of the <br /> 2013 Edition of the California Code of Regulations Title 24, including by reference the 2012 <br /> International Building, Fire, Property and Maintenance Codes; the 2012 Uniform Plumbing and <br /> Mechanical Codes and the 2011 National Electrical Code <br /> 4. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2080 amending Title 18 of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code to comply with the 2012 Pleasanton General Plan Housing Element pertaining to <br /> second units, as filed under Case P13-2097, City of Pleasanton <br /> 5. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2081 approving a Major Modification to <br /> PUD-81-30 and PUD-85-08 to address residential development and how it affects the <br /> developable square footage in Hacienda Business Park, as filed under Case PUD-81-30-55M and <br /> PUD-85-08-27M (Councilmember Brown Voted No on Introduction) <br /> Matt Morrison referred to a letter he submitted to the Council. He expressed concern for the item, <br /> specifically, that it continues the trend of approving development without concern for the infrastructure <br /> needed to support it. He cautioned that Sustainable Community Strategy, which is aimed at ensuring <br /> that there is the transportation and other vital infrastructure needed to provide appropriate housing, is <br /> here to stay and hoped the Council's keeps this purpose in mind in considering projects. <br /> 6. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 2082 amending Title 17 of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code by adding a new Chapter 17.38 (Density Bonus) to comply with State Density <br /> Bonus Law, as filed under Case P13-2012, City of Pleasanton <br />
