CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:03 p.m. <br /> Councilmember McGovern led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> Council member McGovern made the following announcements: <br /> • The community trait for May and June is Integrity. <br /> • Congratulations to Alisal, Hurst, Valley View and Vintage Hills Elementary Schools <br /> for being named as 2006 California Distinguished Schools. <br /> • The Alameda County Fair will be held June 23 through July 9, 2006. Discount tickets <br /> are available. <br /> • Tuesday, May 23, 6:30 p.m. will be the workshop to discuss the Economic and Fiscal <br /> Element and the Community Programs and Facilities Element of the General Plan <br /> process. <br /> • Upcoming entertainment at the Pleasanton Playhouse and Amador Theater will <br /> include American Pop in May. <br /> • The Pleasanton Downtown Association will be sponsoring the Antiques Faire on May <br /> 26m <br /> Pleasanton City Council <br /> Minutes 1 05/16/06 <br />
