IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $666,377.62 FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE <br /> I-580/FOOTHILL ROAD INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, CIP <br /> NO. 095034 AND THE 1-680/BERNAL AVENUE INTERCHANGE <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, CIP NO. 005068 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The project will modify the I-580/Foothill Road interchange to improve the interchange <br /> operation and safety. Bids have been received and staff is recommending the award of <br /> the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Ghilotti Construction <br /> Company, Inc. in the amount of $5,300,625.90. Staff is recommending approval of the <br /> sixth amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with T.Y. Lin International to <br /> provide design service during construction in the amount of $89,224. Ir addition, staff is <br /> recommending the approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Carlson <br /> Management Inc., in the amount of $666,377.62 for the construction management <br /> services for I-580/Foothill Road and the I-680/Bernal Avenue Interchange Improvement <br /> Projects. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve the plans and specifications for the subject project. <br /> 2. Review the bids received and award the construction contract to the lowest <br /> responsible bidder, Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. of Santa Rosa, California, <br /> for a low bid amount of$5,300,625.90. <br /> 3. Authorize the City Manager to enter into the construction contract with Ghilotti <br /> Construction Company, Inc. <br /> 4. Approve the Sixth Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement with T.Y. Lin <br /> International in the amount of $89,224 to provide design services during <br /> construction. <br />
