THE CITY OF w 2 <br /> { - --s j CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT I L <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> June 18, 2013 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR <br /> FUNDING TO THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION <br /> COMMISSION FOR THE VALLEY AVENUE AND HOPYARD ROAD <br /> REHABILITATION PROJECT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) requires a City Council Resolution <br /> prior to the programming of federal One Bay Area Grant Local Street and Roads <br /> (OBAG -LSR) funding. Pleasanton is applying for $832,000 in OBAG-LSR funding to <br /> construct the Valley Avenue and Hopyard Road Rehabilitation Project. The attached <br /> resolution authorizes the filing of the application, commits the necessary funds (11.47% <br /> matching funds), and provides a commitment to MTC that the City will complete the <br /> Project. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt the resolution authorizing the application for OBAG-LSR funding with MTC and <br /> committing the required matching funds necessary to complete the Valley Avenue and <br /> Hopyard Road Rehabilitation Project. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no cost associated with the filing of the grant application. If granted the OBAG - <br /> LSR funds, a minimum local funding match of $108,000 will be required (11.47% <br /> minimum match for the $832,000 of federal funds). The local funding match will be <br /> funded through Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) <br /> Measure B Local Street and Roads funds as part of the Annual Street Overlay Program. <br />
