CITY COUNCIL OF TttE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 1008 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A CORE AREA OVERLAY <br /> DISTRICT PROVIDING FOR MODIFIED DEVELOPMENT <br /> STANDARDS FOR RENTAL HOUSING PROJECTS OF TEN <br /> UNITS OR LESS IN THE CORE AREA OF PLEASANTON <br /> AND ADDING ARTICLE 33 (CORE AREA OVERLAY <br /> DISTRICT) TO CHAPTER 2 (ZONING), TITLE II <br /> (ZONING AJ~D DEVELOPmeNT) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE <br /> OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Article 33 (Core Area Overlay District) is added to <br /> Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Development) <br /> of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> Article 33 <br /> <br /> Core Area Overlay District <br />§ 2-2.3301 Purposes. In order to encourage the efficient use <br /> of land consisting of parcels of unusual size and shape located <br /> in the core area of Pleasanton and to facilitate the development <br /> of smaller multi-family rental housing projects this article <br /> provides modified development standards applicable to an <br /> identified area of the community designated the Core Area <br /> Overlay District. <br /> <br /> 2-2.3302 Area Designation. The Core Area Overlay District <br /> shall inclu"de the area designated "Area for Modified Housing <br /> Development Standards" on the map following this article and <br /> incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br />§ 2-2.3303 Types of Projects to which Modified Standards Apply. <br /> The modified standards contained herein shall apply only to <br /> multi-family or mixed multi-family/commercial and office <br /> projects containing ten or less multi-family rental dwelling <br /> units. <br /> <br />§ 2-2.3304 Underlying Zoning. The modified standards herein <br /> shall apply to property zoned RM (Multi-family Residential) <br /> and C-C (Central Commercial) overlain by the Core Area Overlay <br /> District. Except as modified herein all other regulations <br /> embodied in the underlying zoning of a subject property shall <br /> apply to its development. <br /> <br /> <br />
