THE CITY OF / /� <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 12 <br /> pL£ASANTONo <br /> August 21, 2012 <br /> Economic Development <br /> TITLE: ADOPT RESOLUTION REVISING THE CITY'S ECONOMIC VITALITY <br /> COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Membership on the Economic Vitality Committee (EVC) is designed to include <br /> representation from the broad market segments that comprise Pleasanton's business <br /> community. Current composition of the EVC includes 23 representatives on the <br /> committee. To best reflect the city's current business dynamic and to provide <br /> representation by the business community's significant economic drivers, the EVC <br /> unanimously recommends to the City Council that several membership categories be <br /> amended, resulting in 22 positions on the EVC. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Rescind Resolution No. 08-214 and adopt a new resolution revising the membership <br /> categories of the Economic Vitality Committee (EVC) to: <br /> 1. Identify three specific representatives to the EVC — Hacienda, Alameda County <br /> Fairgrounds, and Stoneridge Shopping Center; and <br /> 2. Combine and reposition other categories — Non-Profit Organization and <br /> Community-Based Organization are combined; Information Technology <br /> broadens to High Technology; and Infrastructure is eliminated. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no fiscal impact. <br />
