JOINT WORKSHOP AGENDA REPORT <br /> June 5, 2012 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: DISCUSSION REGARDING DRAFT HOUSING SITE DEVELOPMENT <br /> REGULATIONS AND DESIGN GUIDELINES AND DRAFT TOD <br /> STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES FOR THE BART PROPERTY <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Housing Element adopted in February 2012 includes Program 9.7 requiring the <br /> preparation of development standards and design guidelines to facilitate the <br /> development of multifamily housing on the nine sites rezoned as part of the Housing <br /> Element Update process. The Draft Housing Site Development Standards and Design <br /> Guidelines (Attachment 1) incorporates comments from two community meetings and <br /> other interested parties. In a separate effort, as an addendum to the work on the <br /> Standards and Design Guidelines developed for the Hacienda TOD, staff worked with <br /> the TOD consultant team, BART staff and East Bay Regional Parks staff to develop <br /> draft development standards and design guidelines for the BART site. The draft <br /> document is included in Attachment 2 to this agenda report. Staff is seeking comment <br /> on the documents prior to formal action by the Planning Commission and City Council to <br /> adopt both sets of standards and design guidelines. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Hear presentation and public input and provide feedback and direction to staff regarding <br /> the content of the Draft Housing Site Development Regulations and Design Guidelines <br /> and Draft Pleasanton TOD Standards and Guidelines for the BART Property. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Consideration of the draft Development Regulations and Design Guidelines will have no <br /> fiscal impact on the City. <br />
