THE CITY OF <br /> -=� "' 6 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 6 <br /> pL£ASANTON, <br /> March 6, 2012 <br /> Community Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE PLEASANTON <br /> CULTURAL ARTS COUNCIL FY 2011/12 COMMUNITY GRANT <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council (PCAC) appealed to the Civic Arts Commission at <br /> its February 5, 2012 meeting, to consider its request to amend its Community Grant <br /> Recipient Agreement and use the awarded $4,000 grant funds allocated to its "11th <br /> Annual Poetry Prose & Arts Festival," to the development of a new event entitled <br /> "Farmer's Market Art Encounter." At its meeting, the Civic Arts Commission approved <br /> the reallocation of grant funds as follows: $2,740 towards the "Farmer's Market Art <br /> Encounter" and requested that the remaining $1,260 be carried over to the FY 2012/13 <br /> Community Grant Program in the Civic Arts Category. <br /> COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION <br /> The Civic Arts Commission is requesting that the City Council support its <br /> recommendation and approve the reallocation of grant funds to the Pleasanton Cultural <br /> Arts Council "Farmer's Market Art Encounter" in the amount of $2,740, and that the <br /> remaining $1,260 be carried over to the FY 2012/13 Community Grant Program in the <br /> Civic Arts Category. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> That the City Council approve the First Amendment to the Pleasanton Cultural Arts <br /> Council's FY 2011/12 Community Grant Agreement. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Of the $4,000 that was originally awarded to the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council as <br /> part of its FY 2011/12 Community Grant funding allocation; $2,740 is to be reallocated <br /> to PCAC's new "Farmer's Market Art Encounter" event and the remaining $1,260 is to <br /> be carried over to the FY 2012/13 Community Grant Program in the Civic Arts Category. <br />
