O 09 <br /> _ elm 811 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> p TySA TONo <br /> August 16, 2011 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE WESTBRIDGE LANE AND CLUBHOUSE DRIVE TRAFFIC <br /> CALMING PROGRAM <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City has been working with residents along Westbridge Lane and Clubhouse Drive <br /> to develop solutions that address speeding concerns in their neighborhood. The City <br /> and local residents have developed a comprehensive traffic calming plan that includes <br /> the installation of five raised asphalt speed lumps and one electronic radar speed sign. <br /> The residents have collected the required signatures indicating that a strong majority <br /> (67%) of the residents support the plan. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the Westbridge Lane and Clubhouse Drive Traffic Calming Program <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The estimated installation cost for these devices is $40,000 and will be funded by the <br /> City's Biannual Traffic Calming Program (CIP No. 105055). Future operation and <br /> maintenance costs will be paid through the Street Division's Road Maintenance <br /> Program and the City of Pleasanton's Traffic Signal Maintenance Program. <br />
