PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2001-24 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FINDING THAT THE PROPOSED USE OF PROPERTY BY THE <br />PERIDOT CORPORATION IS A PERMITTED USE IN THE STANLEY BUSINESS <br />PARK <br /> <br />WI-IEREAS, <br /> <br />Debra and Patrick Pickerell have applied for design review approval to allow the <br />construction of an approximately 20,982+ square foot, one- and two-story <br />commercial building on 1.44+ acres of land located at 3283 Bemal Avenue within <br />the Stanley Business Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C (Commercial) <br /> District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />because the proposed use does not clearly fit into any one of the zoning <br />classifications allowed by the PUD for this property, this matter was referred to the <br />Planning Commission for a determination as to whether the proposed use is similar <br />with other uses and therefore permitted within the Stanley Business Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its duly noticed public hearing of May 9, 2001, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br /> California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Section 18.44.090 of the Commercial-Service zoning district allows the Planning <br />Commission to approve "any other uses which is determined by the Commission <br />·.. to be similar to the uses listed"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission determined that the proposed use of the Peridot <br />Corporation is acceptable, as the proposed use has many characteristics similar to <br />the other uses that are allowed by the Stanley Business Park PUD development <br />plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
