CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1710 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br /> OF THE EARLY LEARNING INSTITUTE FOR <br /> REZONING AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL <br /> AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-96-19 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Early Learning Institute (ELI) has applied for rezoning from the PUD <br /> (Planned Unit Development) - MDR (Medium Density Residential) District <br /> to the PUD - Pa (Public/Institutional) District and for development plan <br /> approval of a revised development plan to construct and operate a private <br /> school for up to 200 children, grades one through eight, with two, one-story <br /> buildings totaling 17,000 square feet on an approximately 3.51-acre vacant <br /> site located on the northerly side of Stoneridge Drive between Stone Pointe <br /> Way and the Zone 7 pump station; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - MDR and Pa <br /> (Medium Density Residential and Public/Institutional) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative declaration was <br /> adopted by Council on March 18, 1997; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendations for approval <br /> of the rezoning and development plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on March 18, 1997; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City council finds that the development and rezoning are consistent with <br /> the General Plan policies of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the rezoning of the portion of the site currently zoned PUD <br /> (Planned Unit Development) - MDR to PUD-P/I (Public/Institutional). <br /> <br /> Section 2: The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated April 18, 1960, on file <br /> with the City Clerk designating and dividing the City into zoning districts is <br /> hereby amended by Zoning Unit Map #433, attached hereto as Exhibit "C", <br /> dated March 18, 1997, and incorporated herein by this reference. <br /> <br /> <br />
