PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2000-25 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF KRISTI REED FOR A <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, AS FILED UNDER CASE PCUP-04 <br /> <br />Kristi Reed has applied for a conditional use permit to allow personal <br />fitness training within an existing commercial suite located at 164 Ray <br />Street, Suite D; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is Central Commercial (C-C), Downtown <br /> Revitalization District, and Core Area Overlay District; and <br /> <br />at its duly noticed public hearing of April 12, 2000, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a modification such as that proposed is categorically exempt from the <br /> requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following findings: <br /> <br />The proposed location of the conditional use is in accordance with <br />the objectives of the zoning ordinance and the purpose of the <br />district in which the site is located. <br /> <br />The proposed use, as conditioned, conforms with the purpose and the <br />objectives of the Zoning Ordinance. The hours of operation for the <br />training use would be on an appointment only basis. On days when both <br />the applicant and the trainer would be on site at the same time, they are <br />encouraged to walk, bicycle, take public transit, or carpool to the site. As <br />conditioned, if the applicant and the trainer carpool, they shall park on Ray <br />Street, in order to allow additional on-site parking for a client. Only one <br />fitness-mining client would be at the site at a time. A 15-minute break <br />would be scheduled between the end of each session and the beginning of <br />the next session. The front door of the use would be closed during <br />training sessions so as to reduce noise generated by the use. <br /> <br />The proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions <br />under which it would be operated or maintained will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially <br />injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity. <br /> <br /> <br />
