CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-14 <br /> <br />RE: SPHERES OF INFLUENCE FOR THE CITY OF LIVERMORE <br />WHE~YAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of <br /> <br /> Alameda is required by law to establish spheres of influ- <br /> <br />ence for all public agencies within said County; and <br />WHIREAS, on October 4, 1973, said Local Agency Formation Commission <br /> <br /> established a Sphere of Influence for the City of Livermore <br /> excluding therefrom an area to the north of the City of <br /> <br /> Livermore and surrounded on three sides by said city; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the portion of Livermore's requested Sphere of Influence <br /> which was excluded was prompted by a request for the <br /> establishment of a new town which hag been referred to as <br /> the City of Las Positas or "Gelderta~n"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 28, 1974, Livermore Councilman <br /> Archer Futch presented to the Pleasanton City Council the <br /> City of Livermore's position with respect to the ':Sphere <br /> of Influence" boundary which was adopted by the Local <br /> Agency Formation Commission On October 4, 1973; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Futch pointed Out that the Local Agency Forma- <br /> tion Connnission on April 11, 1973 adopted a policy called <br /> "Spheres of Influence - Policies, Guidelines, Cri~deria <br /> and Procedures of Alameda County"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Councilman Futch indicated that the City of Liver~re <br /> supports the policies set forth in t~e above guiC]elines, <br /> especially as it relates to urban develotMnent occurring <br /> within existing communities; <br /> <br /> WHBP3a&$, the City Council was requested t~ stlte its pO~iti0n with <br /> respect to urban development in the Livermo~e-Amador <br /> Valley; <br /> <br /> NOW, THERI]FOI&~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF pLEaSANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
