THE CITY OF 14 <br /> —•• CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON, <br /> November 5, 2019 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE AND OUTFITTING OF SIX POLICE PATROL <br /> VEHICLES IN THE AMOUNT OF $390,402 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> As part of the City's 20-year Repair and Replacement Plan, there are six of twenty- <br /> seven (27) police patrol vehicles scheduled to be replaced this FY 2019/20. Patrol <br /> vehicles are typically replaced on a four-year cycle due to operational use, warranty <br /> expirations, wear and tear and mileage. <br /> Due to the operational needs of PD's patrol fleet, two Ford Utility Interceptors will be <br /> replaced with two Chevrolet Tahoes as Supervisor vehicles. Four Ford Police <br /> Interceptors will be purchased through the California State Bid Contract number 1-18- <br /> 23-14B that was awarded to Folsom Lake Ford in Folsom, CA, and the two Chevrolet <br /> Tahoes will be purchased through the recent Contra Costa County purchase. Vehicle <br /> outfitting will be completed by the City's approved contractor Lehr. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the purchase and authorize funding for four Ford Police Utility Interceptors and <br /> two Chevrolet Tahoes and outfitting for the six new patrol vehicles in the amount of <br /> $390,401.58. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The cost to purchase the four Ford Interceptors and outfitting is $249,493.32 and the <br /> cost of the two Chevrolet Tahoes is $140,908.26. There is adequate funding in the <br /> Police Vehicle Replacement Fund (51122110-440107). <br />
