FRANCIS ELECTRIC FOR STREET LIGHT MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR THE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $150,000 SUMMARY The Operations Services Department is responsible for the maintenance of over 7,000 street, pathway, and parking lot lights. In July 2014, as-needed contractors were solicited to provide routine maintenance and emergency response services for the City's street light infrastructure. Through this process, St. Francis Electric was one of two selected contractors whose terms will expire on June 30, 2019. The current agreement has a not-to-exceed amount of $100,000, but due to unanticipated underground electrical repairs and accidents requiring emergency response to address pole knockdowns, the contract amount needs to be increased to cover current repair costs and any future unanticipated repairs before the contract term expires. RECOMMENDATION Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the seventh amendment to the agreement with St. Francis Electric to increase the not-to-exceed amount an additional $50,000 from $100,000 to $150,000. FINANCIAL STATEMENT Funding for the maintenance of the City's street, pathway and parking lot lights is appropriated in the Operations Services Department's FY 2018/19 budget and the Street Light Repair and Replacement Fund.
