The
informal bid process for public work contracts was followed. City staff contacted four contractors
with past trail renovation experience or references from other agencies:

1. Santa Cruz Mountains Trail Stewardship
2. Trailscape
3. Pointe Strategies
4. American Ramp Company

In July 2024, the City received two bid proposals and a confirmation from Santa Cruz Mountains
Trail Stewardship declining to provide a bid proposal. Staff then contacted American Ramp
Company to inquire whether they would be willing to submit a bid and they also declined to bid
the project. The bid results received are as follow:

Landscape Contractor Bid Amount
1. Pointe Strategies $48.992.06
2. Trailscape $51,943.00

Pointe Strategies was the qualified low bidder.

Docusign Envelope ID: DC6BDBD2-15FB-4A32-AD1D-259624389679Docusign Envelope ID: 2462BFEF-7321-437F-941F-04E5906B4A10
