PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2003-02 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE PAP-43, THEREBY DENYING CASE <br />PADR-669, THE APPLICATION OF JOHN DUGGAN FOR ADMINISTRATIVE <br />DESIGN REVIEW <br />WHEREAS, on December 16, 2002, the Zoning Administrator approved the application of John <br />Duggan for administrative design review to construct additions to the existing <br />dwelling at 3573 Kings Canyon Court consisting of: (1) an approximately 33- <br />square-foot single-story addition on the north side of the existing garage; (2) an <br />approximately 382-square foot single-story addition on the west (front), east (reaz), <br />and north (side) elevations; and (3) an approximately 669-square-foot second-story <br />addition above the existing garage and family room; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential) District; and <br />WHEREAS, within the time specified by the Pleasanton Municipal Code, a neighbor submitted <br />an appeal to the City of Pleasanton; <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of January 22, 2003, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and reconunendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the size of the additions would result in <br />a house size that would be out of character and out of scale with the <br />neighborhood. <br />
