CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON <br /> September 3, 2019 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TOOLE DESIGN GROUP FOR <br /> PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF FIVE ADDITIONAL ALTERNATIVES FOR <br /> THE WEST LAS POSITAS BICYCLE CORRIDOR PLAN, INCREASING <br /> THE CONTRACT AMOUNT BY $149,000 FOR A NEW TOTAL <br /> CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $241,544 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On August 21, 2018, the City Manager authorized the Professional Services Agreement <br /> with Toole Design Group (TDG) for the preparation of two conceptual design plans for <br /> bicycle and pedestrian improvements along the West Las Positas corridor. The <br /> agreement was for a not to exceed amount of$92,544. <br /> During the course of project review, the need arose for additional conceptual design <br /> alternatives that are not included in the original scope of work. <br /> Staff is requesting approval of an amendment to the Professional Services Agreement <br /> to increase the not to exceed amount by $149,000 for the five additional conceptual <br /> design alternatives to be developed, as well as a 35 percent design for the project <br /> alternative that is ultimately selected. The new not to exceed total would be $241,544. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the first amendment to the <br /> Professional Services Agreement with TDG to increase the not to exceed amount to <br /> $241,544. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The amendment to this agreement will be funded by the West Las Positas Corridor Plan <br /> Capital Improvement Plan (CIP No. 17567). <br />
