MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING between CITY OF PLEASANTON and CITY OF PLEASANTON POLICE MANAGEMENT UNIT, OPERATING ENGIN~EERS LOCAL This memorandum of understanding is entered into pursuant to the provisions of Section 3500 et seq. of the government code of the state of California. The employee relations officer (city manager) is the representative of the city of Pleasanton in employer-employee relations matters and has been designated the representative for the purposes of meeting and conferring. City of Pleasanton Police Management Unit, Operating Engineers Local ~3 is the formally recognized employee organization for the police management unit com- prised of the classifications of police lieutenant and police captain. The parties have met and conferred in good faith regarding wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment for the employees in Said representa- tion unit and have freely exchanged information, opinions and prop3~plS and have endeavored to reach agreement on all matters relating to the employment conditions and employer-employee relations of such employees. This memorandum of understanding shall be presented to the Pleasanton City Council as the Joint recommendation of the undersigned parties for salary and employee benefit adjustments for the period commencing October 1, 1980, through December 31, 1981. The existing wages, hours and conditions of employment shall be amended only as follows: The salary ranges of each classification shall be increased effective October 1, 1980, to provide monthly salary ranges as follows: CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM MAXI}KrM . Lieutenant $2111 $2638 Captain $2296 $2873 2. By classification, the specific monthly salary paid each employee during the term of this agreement shall be as follows: Lieutenant (2) $2565 Captain (1) $2794 Effective April 1, 1981, the uniform allowance paid police lieutenants shall be increased to three hundred twenty five dollars ($325.00) per year, such allowance to be paid in one payment in April.
