CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81-313 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE NEW STREET SWEEPER <br />FROM WESTERN TRACTION COMPANY <br /> <br />WHEREAS , <br /> <br />specifications were prepared and bids were solicited <br />to replace the city's 10 year old 3-wheel street <br />sweeper; and <br /> <br />~tEREAS, only one bid was received which was from Western <br /> Traction Company in the amount of $74,578.86; and <br /> <br />~EREAS, this amount is within the budget and the equipment <br /> offered meets the specifications; and <br /> <br />due to concerns over cash flow for capital improvements, <br />a proposal has been offered for paying for the sweeper <br />over a five-year period; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Council received and reviewed a report from the <br />Director of Public Works dated September 22,1981 <br />which outlined in detail the equipment and payment <br />plan proposed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the purchase of the street sweeper from <br /> Western Traction Company under their "Municipal Rental <br /> Plan" as described in their letter of September 15, 1981, <br /> a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes the City ~Ianager to execute the appropriate <br /> documents for this transaction. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 29, 1981 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Kephart, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> <br /> D AS TO FORM: <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk ---~_~..~ ~. ~ ~ ~ ~ <br /> ~rvey E.i'j~evine, City Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
